The Powerbroker is a game changer for many African Americans seeking to learn who has made contribution for the advancement of Blacks in our country, thank you Bonnie Boswell, you will always be a friend and I am glad to have known you growing up in Chicago!
Once Bonnie and I were studying in Atlanta, she at Atlanta University and I was at Morehouse and Bonnie suggested that we drive home to Chicago and of course I said yes, well Bonnie asked do you mind if we stop in Louisville, Kentucky to visit my family members again no problem, what I did not know until we arrived was that Whitney Young was her uncle, I was impressed to say the least, her grandfather and aunt where such cordial people who made me feel at home, an experience that I will never forget, I speak of the experience today in conversation, thank you Bonnie, you come from a family of great Black history. In addition let me add that it was through Bonnie that I met John Hope Franklin at his home.
Your uncle was an outstanding fraternity brother of mine, Alpha Phi Alpha!
Sincerely,
